The Compleat Laurie Sain

Routine: Work a while, save some bucks, then drop out to write plays and, later, poetry. Which, yes, did get produced and published and awarded some prizes along the way.

I was a playwright for 20 years, a poet for 10. And then it stopped for a while - whatever the source of such things is.

My last play, What Is To Be Done?, about Nelson Mandela, was almost optioned by Broadway. Somehow, a copy made it to historical papers of the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.

I began poetry as part of a Zen meditation retreat, and discovered I was good at it. My last book of physics poetry, The Theory of Everything, is on the back burner as an online project, just to get it out there.

If I can find a hard copy. The digital version burned in the fire.
